MathsTutors.Online has created an innovative and highly successful tuition method for GCSE Maths students. We’re looking for passionate and skilled tutors to deliver our online maths tuition programme.
This is a role for someone who does not like slow-paced environments - this is an opportunity for someone who wants to build a strong career whereby their hard work is directly having a positive impact on the lives of others. You need to be enthusiastic about teaching and excited to go the extra mile to ensure that students get the absolute best experience possible.
Key Responsibilities- Delivering our GCSE Maths programme via video call (a mixture of small group and 1:1 classes) from pre-prepared lesson plans
- Communicating with parents to discuss student progress (via email, phone and video call)
- Organising and delivering additional 1:1 catch up sessions with struggling students
- Using free periods to cover other tutors sessions when absence occurs
- Marking student tests and providing feedback on work
- Collaborating with the team to ensure our programme continues to be the best on the market
- Right to work in the UK
- STEM degree
- At least 2 years of tutoring or teaching experience (with students in the UK) and solid understanding of the UK education system
- Valid DBS certificate
- Strong, verifiable track record of above average student results
- Concise, coherent and approachable tuition style
- Laptop and a touchscreen tablet with pen
- Strong wifi connection
- Positive, enthusiastic and charismatic personality
- Willing to work in a fast-paced environment with an openness to change

Fully remote, as long as the time zone fits the availability requirements below. We encourage you to travel whilst working if that’s something that you enjoy doing.
Availability- Full time, permanent, salaried role (please note, this role is not suitable for someone looking for a part time position/second job)
- M-F, 4pm-9pm UK time
- 2 x 1h team meetings per week in weekday daytime
- Approx. 10 hours of admin work outside of these hours (flexible)
- Occasional weekend calls when required
- Start date: 2nd June 2025
We use Slack for day-to-day communication. We value clarity of communication, so that everyone understands how to fulfil their role to the best of their ability. Bi-weekly team meetings and monthly 1-2-1 reviews are also part of our communication strategy.
