Mathnasium is a maths learning centre for children from Reception to GCSE. Our Oxford centre is growing. We’re looking for an Assistant Centre Manager to look after our families, support our team and help bring new students through the door.
This is a great move if you’re a team leader or assistant manager in retail, hospitality or customer service. It also suits a teaching assistant or tutor ready for more responsibility, or someone in sales who wants work that means more.
You don’t need a maths degree. If you’re comfortable with maths to GCSE level, we’ll train you in the rest, including the Mathnasium Method.
What you’ll do
- Be the first friendly face for parents: answer enquiries, show families round and guide them through enrolment
- Work with children on the centre floor and support our instructors’ teaching
- Keep parents updated on their child’s progress
- Represent us in the community at school fairs, library sessions and local events
- Help run the centre day to day, and step in when the Centre Manager is away
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Have customer service, sales, team leader or assistant manager experience, or have worked in education as a teaching assistant, tutor or coach
- Enjoy working with children and chatting with parents
- Are happy to have friendly sales conversations
- Feel confident with maths to around GCSE level
- Stay organised and calm when it gets busy
A degree or teaching qualification is welcome but not needed. If you tick most of these boxes, we’d love to hear from you.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 11:00–19:30 and Saturday 09:00–15:00 (40 hours), plus occasional community events agreed in advance. In-centre at Summertown, Oxford.
