Role Description
The Real Estate Rental Agent role at Maten & Degan is a full-time, on-site position based in Ilford. The agent will manage rental listings, conduct property viewings, and guide prospective tenants through the application and renting process. Responsibilities include liaising with landlords, handling tenancy agreements, coordinating move-ins and move-outs, and supporting ongoing property management activities. The role also involves responding to inquiries, resolving routine landlord/tenant matters, and maintaining accurate records and documentation. The successful candidate will work closely with the wider team to ensure a professional, responsive, and hassle-free experience for all clients.
Qualifications
- Experience with landlord/tenant matters and estate agency practices, with knowledge of UK lettings procedures.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with landlords and tenants.
- Understanding of property management processes, including repairs coordination, inspections, and tenancy documentation.
- Ability to work on-site in Ilford, manage multiple properties and tasks, and maintain organized, accurate records.
- Basic IT proficiency (email, property management software, office tools) and comfort with online listing platforms.
- Previous experience in residential lettings or real estate is preferred; relevant certifications or training in property or housing are an advantage.
