We’re looking for a confident, customer‑focused Service Engineer to join our Aftermarket team. If you enjoy variety, problem‑solving, and working directly with clients, this could be the perfect role for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- You’ll be the face of Matcon on customer sites—providing maintenance, troubleshooting, repair support, and technical advice.
- You’ll travel across the UK & Ireland, with occasional trips across Europe and beyond.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Performing service & maintenance activities at customer sites
- Troubleshooting technical issues and advising on upgrades
- Conducting RMA investigations at Matcon UK
- Preparing service and spares quotations
- Delivering clear, professional site reports
- Building strong relationships with service customers
- Providing training and guidance to client engineering teams
- Collaborating with Service Account Managers to spot opportunities
What You’ll Bring
- HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Engineering
- Strong mechanical engineering knowledge
- Understanding of controls, instrumentation & pneumatics
- Great troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- A proactive, professional, customer‑first mindset
- Willingness to travel at short notice
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- PLC knowledge is a bonus (training provided)
