What will I be doing?
We are seeking a Tooling Manufacturing Engineer to assist our existing tooling function and support our current capacity needs. The role involves the following responsibilities:
- Create industrialized tooling solutions in line with Safran standards for the Composites, Assembly, and Sheet Metal manufacturing activities.
- Design and refine tooling concepts for manufacture through external supplier networks.
- Advise external tooling manufacturers on all technical requirements to ensure cost, quality, and functionality standards are met.
- Provide technical support to internal toolmakers for maintaining existing hardware.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including Manufacturing Engineering and Production, to ensure requirements are understood and fulfilled.
- Support internal investment requests by creating capital expenditure justifications.

What you need from me?
- A degree-level qualification in an appropriate engineering subject or equivalent experience
- Existing tooling design and manufacturing experience, preferably with a focus on Composites, Assembly, and/or Sheet Metal
- Understanding of typical aerospace application requirements (preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of GD&T and general engineering principles
- Familiarity with typical manufacturing process capabilities
- Strong working experience in a CAD/CAM environment (preferably Catia v5)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working with external suppliers
