Test & Service Engineer

Our client, an Aerospace and Defence supplier is looking for an Electronics Test and Service Engineer to join them on a contract basis at their site in Cheltenham. Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be willing to undergo basic security checks ahead of starting. Fully onsite at their Cheltenham facility. 4 month initial contract. £49 p/h Umbrella, inside IR35.Key Responsibilities: Responsible for testing and fault-finding production units and PCBs to component level using Test Specifications and circuit diagrams. To be able to follow departmental, quality and Health & Safety procedures. Repair and assemble products and be able to carry out soldering to IPC 600 J standard 001. Produce meaningful investigation reports and Statement of work. Provide assistance to Engineering with investigation units. Provide technical assistance to internal and external customers. Providing regular updates to meet the needs of each customer regarding the status of the units. Demonstrate a level of innovation within the cell to assist continuous improvements. Program PCBs and devices using Programming Loading Documents. Perform inspection on all activities as and when required. To provide recommendations for improvements.
