Position: System Product Design Engineer

Location: Farnborough

Hybrid: (2-3 Days Onsite)

Lifecycle: Full Product Lifecycle | Hardware Experience Essential

About the Role:

We have partnered with a Farnborough based company seeking a System Product Design Engineer to contribute to multiple Cyber and Information Assurance (IA) development projects. This role is perfect for those who thrive on solving complex, real-world problems and developing innovative products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead system engineering and technical activities across one or more IA development projects.
  • Collaborate with subsystem teams across Hardware, Software, FPGA, and Mechanical disciplines to develop integrated solutions.
  • Provide technical support for bid proposals and product development.
  • Manage requirements engineering and ensure technical coherency across design disciplines.
  • Partner with Technical Project Managers to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Oversee the full development lifecycle from concept through verification.

What You’ll Need:

  • Sole British Nationality (due to UK Eyes Only project requirements) and eligibility for UK Security Clearance (SC).
  • Proficiency in the full systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements management, system design, and validation/verification.
  • Solid understanding of multiple design disciplines with expertise in at least one area.
  • Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
  • Experience using DOORs for requirements management.
  • Background as a Hardware/Software/Electronic engineer or similar role.

  • Experience in bid estimation and understanding of mechanical and environmental qualification processes.
