Stores Operative (Engineering / Manufacturing) – Fareham

Permanent Full‑Time 27,000+ per annum Monday‑Friday (37.5 hours/week)

We are currently seeking an experienced Stores Operative to join our growing manufacturing team in Fareham. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and detail‑oriented individual to play a key role in supporting production and logistics operations within a dynamic environment.

About the Role

As a Stores Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and movement of materials to support ongoing manufacturing activity. The role involves maintaining stock accuracy, processing goods‑in, picking and preparing orders, and ensuring that all stores areas are organised, safe, and compliant with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and book in deliveries accurately
• Maintain precise inventory and stock location records
• Pick, pack, and prepare components for production or dispatch
• Support cycle counting and perpetual inventory checks
• Ensure the stores area is clean, tidy, and compliant with safety requirements
• Liaise with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Stores Operative within a manufacturing environment
• Competent with basic computer systems (Excel, ERP/MRP experience preferred)
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Able to work safely and efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
• A forklift licence and/or experience in goods‑in quality inspection would be advantageous but are not essential

• Hours: Monday‑Friday, 37.5 hours per week
• Salary: From 27,000 per annum
