Our client based in Waterlooville requires an experienced SMT/Pick and Place operator to join their team.

Our client, a renowned company in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a skilled SMT/Pick and Place Operator to join their team in Waterlooville, Hants on a temp to perm basis.

Position: Production Assembler, Pick & Place Operative

Reporting to: Production Manager

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operating and maintaining the SMT Pick & Place machines and adhering to stringent health & safety requirements, including:
  • Programming and setup of Pick & Place machines
  • Programming and maintaining reflow oven
  • PCBA assembly involving SMT and PTH soldering
  • Cable assembly, involving the use of crimp tools
  • Electro-mechanical assembly
  • Working from customer BOMs/drawings to ensure that manufacturing is completed to required standards
  • PCBA rework

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to operate Pick & Place machine essential
  • Experience in off-line programming of Pick & Place machines (Juki etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent component recognition and knowledge
  • Ability to work with fine pitch components under a microscope
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and clearly communicate technical information
  • Capacity to prioritise a busy workload and excel under pressure

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 16:00
