Are you an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to take on a career-defining role within one of the UK\’s most complex and high-profile infrastructure programmes? We\’re seeking a commercially astute professional with SC/DV clearance (willingness to obtain DV) to join a multi-disciplinary team driving the successful delivery of a major defence construction project.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you\’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial and contractual success of a large-scale infrastructure programme. Working within an NEC4 contract environment, you\’ll provide trusted commercial governance, ensuring value for money while supporting strategic decision-making across the project lifecycle.
What You\’ll Be Doing
Producing accurate cost reports, forecasts, and cash flows.
Challenging and validating contractor estimates to ensure transparency and accountability.
Supporting the development of robust business cases and financial assurance.
Driving cost efficiency and identifying value-adding strategies.
Managing change control and supporting contract negotiations.
Attending progress and cost review meetings, ensuring data-driven insights guide decision-making.
Promoting commercial awareness and supporting dispute resolution when required.
What We\’re Looking For
Proven experience in quantity surveying on large-scale infrastructure projects.
Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts and civils infrastructure estimating.
Ability to constructively challenge, influence, and communicate effectively at all levels.
Strong grasp of the interplay between cost, risk, and schedule.
Resilient, adaptable, and confident working in a high-paced, demanding environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
Degree in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management (RICS / CIOB preferred).
10+ years\’ experience on multi-million-pound projects.
Sole UK National with SC/DV clearance (willingness to obtain DV)
