We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer specialising in Extra High Voltage (EHV) systems, with a focus on Electrical specification and integration of plant Instrumentation, and Automation (EICA) designs. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in delivering successful projects, from detailed designs to construction and commissioning.

Here are some of the activities you will get involved with:

  • Develop and deliver electrical designs, including HV Plant specifications, Primary Substation upgrades for both existing and green field sites and all small power and auxiliary systems.
  • Develop HV/EHV cabling systems specifications, concept/detailed design and design review, estimation, site supervision and support as required.
  • Ensure designs are delivered in accordance with both industry and the clients standards and specifications.
  • Develop detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, and layouts using CAD software.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to determine project requirements and specifications.
  • Perform site visits to assess existing electrical systems and develop effective design solutions.
  • Interface with other disciplines e.g. Civil/Structural, Protection & Control, and OHL engineers.
  • Actively develop external and internal client relationships.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare accurate project documentation, including bills of materials and cost estimates.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance design efficiency.
