Our well known consultancy client is seeking a Senior Design Manager to join their Water division based out of a Bristol office on a permanent basis.

Role Overview
You will play a vital role in every aspect of design management on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad.
Our client specialises in all aspects of the Water sector, whilst delivering water services into multiple other sectors such as Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development and Education. They provide industry-leading engineering solutions right through the project lifecycle, with value added through client-side support as well as construction phases.
They are seeking a candidate ideally with a civil engineering background. Hybrid working will be available and discussed during the interview process.
Responsibilities
- Deliver technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
- Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Understand, communicate and manage project risks.
- Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
Skills/Experience/Qualifications
- Chartered Civil Engineer.
- Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design and Design & Build.
- Comprehensive knowledge in water and/or wastewater treatment, storage solutions, hydraulics, water supply and wastewater collection systems and familiarity with current UK design standards and working practices.
- Sound commercial, contractual and programme experience.
