Our consultancy client is looking for a Senior Building Safety Consultant to join their esteemed team on a permanent basis. The role will involve advising and assisting clients and in-house teams in fulfilling their responsibilities under the Building Regulations 2010 (As Amended) and the Building Safety Act 2022. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to ensuring safety and compliance within the construction and building industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising and assisting clients and in-house teams with Building Regulations and Building Safety Act compliance
• Delivering the Principal Designer function for clients as outlined in the Building Regulations 2010 (As Amended)
• Working with designers to review and ensure design compliance, and developing practical solutions
• Undertaking a wide range of Building Safety Consultancy duties in line with agreed service deliverables
• Conducting building regulation compliance audits and site inspections
• Reviewing building regulation submission packages, undertaking gap analysis reviews, and plan appraisals
• Delivering building regulation compliance training (both internal and external)
• Keeping updated with changes in legislation and best practices

Job Requirements:

• Strong background in interpreting and applying building regulations and related legislation
• Sound technical knowledge of Building Regulations and an understanding of design and construction
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all work
• Proactive attitude with the ability to seek guidance when necessary
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant software packages
• Relevant professional chartership/accreditation with either CABE, CIOB, or RICS
• Class 2/3 Registered Building Inspector certification is beneficial but not essential
