You will play a crucial role in supporting technical issues and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fulfil a supporting role on issues related to the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all relevant legislation and industry standards.
  • Undertake general administrative and clerical duties, providing cover for other team members when needed.
  • Maintain the EToN register and monitor incoming notice/permit applications for compliance with relevant Codes of Practice.
  • Generate sample inspections and input defect inspection, Section 74 overrun charges, and Fixed Penalty Notices/Permit Fees as per the Traffic Management Act 2004.
  • Issue duration challenges/permits in line with the Code of Practice and associated regulations.
  • Maintain and update the electrical Street Works Register, ensuring accuracy of all street and road works notices/permits.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in Streetworks and NRSWA compliance.
  • Proficiency in maintaining EToN register and monitoring compliance with Codes of Practice.
  • Ability to generate and input inspections, overrun charges, and penalties as required.
  • Strong administrative and clerical skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with relevant IT systems and software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all electronic and manual notices/permits from Statutory Undertakers and Highway Authorities are accurately checked for NRSWA and TMA compliance.
  • Log and issue incoming Streetworks-related correspondence, making suggestions for improving service delivery and quality of work.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with Statutory Undertaker's staff and neighbouring Highway Authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with Standing Orders, contractual clauses, industrial standards, and health and safety regulations.
  • Operate relevant IT systems to efficiently produce documents and maintain office data systems using standard software applications.
