Job Title: Senior Hydrographic Surveyor or Survey Party Chief
Location: UK with travel across EU.
Contract: Full-time
Our client, a promising up and coming survey company in the renewables sector, is currently seeking a Senior Hydrographic Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis due to increased growth of the company.
Ideally suited to someone who has had a few years within the industry, who has partaken in various offshore projects and ready to take a further step with more responsibility and managerial exposure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking a technical lead on vessel mobilisation, data capture, processing, and reporting.
- Managing hydrographic survey projects, ensuring successful delivery from start to finish.
- Supporting the operations manager in the general running and delivery of all hydrographic survey services.
- Contributing to business development activities and financial reporting at the project level.
- Assisting the managing director with pursuing technical excellence and growth in the hydrography department.
- Overseeing and mentoring technical staff to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Balancing fieldwork with office-based tasks to support overall project needs.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in the field of hydrography and geophysical surveying.
- Knowledge of hydrographic sensors used on survey vessels. (MBES, GNSS, USBL, MRU, IMU, INS etc).
- Proven offshore surveyor skills with a background in technical operations.
- Competence in project management and excellent communication abilities.
- Understanding of business development activities and financial project reporting.
- A relevant degree in surveying or equivalent qualification.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to relocate within commuting distance to the head office, if necessary.
