General Foreman – Civil Engineering / Utilities Location: Leiston, Suffolk | Permanent Opportunity We\’re recruiting for a General Foreman to join a Tier 2 civil engineering contractor delivering a major civils and utilities project in the Leiston area. This self-delivery role covers a wide range of works, including drainage, concrete structures, ducting, pipework, and building elements. Key Responsibilities: Supervise day-to-day site operations and multiple work fronts. Coordinate labour, plant, and materials to ensure safe and efficient delivery. Enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance (RAMS, CDM, Temporary Works). Lead site teams, conduct briefings/toolbox talks, and maintain accurate records. Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure high standards of delivery. Requirements: Proven experience in civils or utilities (Foreman / Site Manager level). SMSTS and CSCS (Supervisory or above) essential; NRSWA and TWS desirable. Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills. Full UK driving licence required.
