Contract Lead Engineers – Air-to-Air Refuelling & Actuation Systems 📍 Hybrid – 3 days onsite | Aerospace Industry 📅 6-Month Contract (Inside IR35) Our client, a leading name in the aerospace sector, is seeking four Contract Lead Engineers with expertise in Air-to-Air Refuelling (AAR) and Actuation systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies with top aircraft manufacturers. Role Overview – Systems Project Engineer As a Systems Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the full product life cycle-from requirements management to qualification. Your key responsibilities will include: ✅ Leading system design, development, integration, and verification ✅ Planning and managing engineering tasks, reviews, and key milestones ✅ Engaging with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with expectations ✅ Managing technical risks, engineering changes, and design traceability ✅ Driving continuous improvement in engineering processes What You Need to Succeed 🔹 Experience in mechanical, electromechanical, or systems product development 🔹 Engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) 🔹 Strong understanding of the engineering life cycle and systems engineering management 🔹 Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS/CRADLE beneficial) 🔹 Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on solutions This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to pioneering aerospace projects while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
