A leading Defence communications company is recruiting for x2 Digital biased Hardware Engineers on an Outside IR35 contract basis. The roles are for an initial 6 month period and offer hybrid working, based from the company site in Hastings.

Our client, a key player in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Engineer (Digital) to join their team. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to apply your technical expertise across the full development life-cycle in a challenging and dynamic environment. While the primary focus is on defence products and contracts, individuals with experience in adjacent areas are strongly encouraged to apply. You will use your technical knowledge, decision-making, and interpersonal skills to achieve project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analysis of customer requirements
- Create and modify electronic designs and architecture
- Use simulation tools to generate verification test benches
- Configuration control
- Hardware integration
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in designing digital circuits, including logic gates, flip-flops, and state machines
- Experience in designing and implementing FPGAs and ASICs
- Strong knowledge of Hardware Description Languages (HDLs) such as VHDL and Verilog
- Experience with microprocessor and microcontroller architecture and programming
- Familiarity with ADCs, DACs, and mixed-signal design
- Hardware design and verification against an agreed set of requirements
- Understanding of requirements capture, work package definition, and effort estimation
- Ability to create and modify analogue and digital hardware designs
- Experience with module and system commissioning
- Support for the manufacturing department during build and test phases
- Understanding of development guidelines set out by RTCA/DO-254
