This team is responsible for delivering sophisticated distributed control and communication systems for the SSNA programme. This critical role focuses on shaping and driving the V&V strategy, directly contributing to the objective of enhancing the performance of the boat programme. Relocation support packages are offered across all Submarines roles, subject to eligibility criteria. This will be an opportunity to build and grow a large team, as such prior engineering management is not essential and we are able to accept applications form experienced engineers who wish to move into leadership. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialist knowledge and subject matter expertise in the integration, validation, and verification of systems Plan, prepare, and undertake integration of the system of interest from its elements, ensuring interfaces work as expected and accumulated functionality is delivered; identify and resolve issues Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and that work is undertaken in accordance with company, safety, environmental, contractual, and local business processes, standards, procedures, and documentation Support the development of estimates for the scope of work and resources required to deliver it to support bids, proposal development, and project planning activities from a process and governance perspective Job Requirements: Essential: BSc degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a STEM-related subject Significant knowledge and expertise in Systems Engineering – IVV process and practices in complex software-intensive systems in the defence, maritime, or a closely linked industry, with a correct recognition of the context of their work within the overall business A strong working understanding of Product Safety and SHE Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management Desirable: MSc in an Engineering or STEM-related subject Submarines domain knowledge Chartered Engineer If you are a skilled Engineering Manager with expertise in Systems Engineering and a passion for the defence sector, we would love to hear from you.
