Our client, a leading specialist in the automation and manufacturing sector, is currently seeking an E&I Supervisor to join their dynamic team. This is a permanent role that offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects, ensuring high standards in electrical and instrumentation installations. Key Responsibilities: Liaise with the Site Manager to ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance Work with the Electrical Project Engineer to produce Electrical Installation Specifications Manage daily operations of site subcontract labour, including reviewing RAMS and coordinating site work permits Review technical drawings and distribute information to electrical installation supervisors Manage the storage and safe distribution of installation materials and instrumentation Collaborate with CAD engineers for routing approvals of cable containment Produce installation planning documents and monitor installation progress Identify and correctly install instrumentation, advising the mechanical team on best practices Ensure all electrical requirements in design packages are met Prepare site commissioning files and assist with the power-up procedure once installation is complete Lead setup and I/O testing of devices in liaison with software engineers Provide technical solutions to onsite installation issues Support sales by surveying sites and generating concept designs and quotes Job Requirements: Strong background in Electrical Engineering with significant experience in control systems Proven experience as an Installation Supervisor in the automation or manufacturing sector Excellent understanding of UK legislation, including BS7671 Experience with instrumentation applications for flow, level, pressure, temperature, weight, and analytical systems Ability to manage subcontract labour for large projects and understand electrical and P&I drawings Experience with hazardous area applications and control bus systems like ASI, Profibus, and industrial Ethernet networks Relevant qualifications in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Preferred Experience: Understanding of the beverage industry, including regulations and certifications Experience in process instrumentation installation and AutoCAD & Microsoft Office proficiency Control panel testing and hazardous area installation experience Essential Qualities: Technical and professional knowledge Proactive and resourceful with strong communication skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Excellent planning and organisational skills If you are an experienced E&I Supervisor looking to further develop your career in the automation and manufacturing sector, we would love to hear from you.
