Position: System Design Engineer Location: Farnborough Hybrid : (2-3 Days Onsite) We have partnered with a Farnborough based company seeking a System Design Engineer to contribute to multiple Cyber and Information Assurance (IA) development projects. Lead system engineering and technical activities across one or more IA development projects. Collaborate with subsystem teams across Hardware, Software, FPGA, and Mechanical disciplines to develop integrated solutions. Provide technical support for bid proposals and product development. Manage requirements engineering and ensure technical coherency across design disciplines. Partner with Technical Project Managers to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Sole British Nationality (due to UK Eyes Only project requirements) and eligibility for UK Security Clearance (SC). Proficiency in the full systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements management, system design, and validation/verification. Solid understanding of multiple design disciplines with expertise in at least one area. Background as a Hardware/Software/Electronic engineer or similar role. An electronics/hardware/software engineer seeking to expand into system-level design roles. Familiarity with system design languages (e.g., use case analysis, trade studies). Experience in bid estimation and understanding of mechanical and environmental qualification processes.
