CAD Draughtsperson
Location: Fareham
Our client is an international leader in the development and supply of high performance, innovative materials and solutions for applications in filtration and separation.
Main function:
Production of detail drawings and design packages for manufacture, incorporation of engineering changes.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project engineers, to produce “Right First Time” design packages from proposals and specifications, including;
- Detail manufacturing and installation drawings to BS8888 Drawing Standards
- Specification data sheets
- Factory Acceptance Procedures
- Installation and Operation Manuals
- Review and incorporation of engineering change orders
- Produce proposal drawings in conjunction with sales and applications engineers
- Incorporation of engineering change requests
- Basic design analysis e.g. Tolerance/ interference check, simple mechanical calculations e.g. Hoop stress.
- Liase with manufacturing, quality, purchasing and planning to ensure “Design for Manufacture” and “Value Engineering” principles are applied.
- Play a key role in developing our CAD system; standardising and automating design processes and maintaining the document management system.

Qualifications:
- HNC Mechanical Engineering/ Computer Aided Engineering/ Design, 3 years minimum industrial experience in a mechanical / aerospace / fabrication environment.
- Knowledge of CNC machined components, close tolerance parts and pressure bearing components /systems / vessel fabrication would be advantageous
- A keen interest in computer aided design and manufacture, industry trends and latest technology to optimise the process.
