About the Role: As a Business Analyst within the Engineering function, you'll play a critical role in analysing, defining, and delivering user requirements for major customer initiatives. You'll work closely with technical teams and end-users to ensure solutions are tailored, practical, and aligned with real-world needs. This is a hands-on role where you'll take full ownership of requirements across the lifecycle—from discovery through to successful delivery—within Agile environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with stakeholders to assess, plan, and prioritise user requirements under Agile frameworks.
  • Conduct detailed feasibility studies and scope analysis for new features and enhancements.
  • Apply a range of techniques—interviews, workshops, document analysis, surveys—to gather business and technical requirements.
  • Analyse and validate collected information, distilling it into clear and actionable artefacts (e.g., functional specs, use cases, wireframes).
  • Collaborate with developers, SMEs, and stakeholders to align business goals with technical solutions.
  • Serve as a bridge between the customer and project teams, ensuring mutual understanding and delivery of fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Contribute to and support various testing phases including Integration Testing, UAT, and Functionality Testing.

Experience

  • Experience in business or systems analysis roles, with formal training preferred.
  • Strong background in modelling business processes, future states, and solution design.
  • Familiarity with Agile tools such as DOORS and the Atlassian suite (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Understanding of Agile and iterative delivery methodologies, and how they compare to traditional waterfall approaches.
  • Solid grasp of software development lifecycle and delivery best practices.
  • A proactive mindset with a track record of delivering value in fast-paced project environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills—both technical and non-technical.
  • Strong business acumen and a keen ability to quickly grasp customer goals and priorities.

Why Join Our Client?

  • You'll be part of a collaborative team solving real-world problems in a secure environment.
  • You'll also enjoy opportunities to grow your career, influence project direction, and work on meaningful projects that have tangible impact.
  • 37hr working week, although hours may vary depending on role, job requirement or site-specific arrangements.
  • Early 1.30pm finish Friday, start your weekend early!
  • 25 days holiday + statutory public holidays, plus opportunity to buy and sell up to 5 days (37hr).
