Our client, a large Aerospace and Defence supplier is looking for a Business Analyst to join them on a 12-month contract at their site in Yeovil. Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be willing to undergo basic security checks.
12-month initial contract 22.38 p/h PAYE or 30.63 p/h Umbrella. Fully onsite in Yeovil.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend and influence through quality reviews.
- Manage process changes raised internally and externally, ensuring compliance and effecting change.
- Provide appropriate communication to the department.
- Manage the delivery of the continuous improvement plan, capturing lessons learnt to inform changes.
- Prepare, control, and issue processes.
- Provide visibility of trends related to activities.
- Act as the point of contact for audits and support their closure of non-conformances.
- Collaborate with colleagues to influence other business areas.
- Manage internal authorisations and documentation, providing guidance to the wider department.
Business Improvement:
- Develop effective Business Procedures across UK Programmes, aligning with the overall Programmes Operating model.
- Implement and manage a plan to achieve formal Project Management Accreditation (P3M3 or similar).
- Engage with and manage interfaces with accreditation companies.
- Develop strategy and plans to improve accreditation in Programme Management.
- Manage and develop the departmental administration team and resources.
- Identify, plan, and implement improvement initiatives through workshops and business improvement tools.
- Collaborate with SMEs and project delivery teams to drive and embed best practice business processes.
- Capture, act upon, and report Customer Feedback and lessons learnt.
- Support Programme Assurance and Development Program Executives in phase gate reviews.
- Develop cross-functional relationships to address and improve adherence issues within programmes.
- Provide training to ensure processes are adopted and a continuous improvement culture is embedded.
- Work with the risk team to identify and mitigate common process issues.
- Effectively manage Improvement Project tasks and their dependencies within the overall Programme or Project.
Job Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of processes and procedures, with attention to detail.
- Understanding of international quality standards and contract review.
- Experience in implementing Continuous Improvement Programmes.
- Ability to lead improvement sessions with stakeholders across varying authority levels.
- Capability to develop robust relationships within the business and with external customers.
- Strong analytical and project management skills, interpreting business needs into operational requirements.
- Effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Good team management skills, including recruitment, motivation, and development.
