We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Avionics Mechanic to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and technical environment, supporting essential aircraft modifications and maintenance activities.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out modifications and maintenance in accordance with approved drawings and maintenance data, taking full accountability for the technical integrity of all work performed.
- All tasks will be assigned by the Lead Technician or B2 Engineer.
- Provide regular updates on any issues affecting the work plan, including proposed solutions or recommendations where applicable.
- Report any unsafe conditions to the Lead Technician or B2 Engineer, as well as through the appropriate internal reporting channels.
- Perform precise wiring terminations and testing.
- Remove and install various shelves, panels and equipment.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and regulatory requirements.
- Manufacture and test looms.
- Support avionics system testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Maintain the highest standards of tool control within the work area.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Skills and Abilities
- Completed an engineering apprenticeship - ideally in Aeronautical engineering or military equivalent.
- Previous aircraft modification experience.
- Previous aircraft production experience is advantageous.
- Excellent hand skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Eligible to work and live in the UK.
- Subject to UK security vetting.
- Excellent knowledge of Avionics systems.
- Reliability and adaptability.
- Good interpersonal skills.
Part-145 Training Requirements
- Initial Human Factors; Continuation Training Human Factors.
- Initial SFAR phase 1&2; Continuation Training SFAR phase 1&2.
- Initial EWIS group 1&2 (including EWIS group 1 Module G (Practical); Continuation Training EWIS group 1&2.
