Our client, a leader in the defence and aerospace sector, is currently seeking an Airworthiness Officer for a contract position in Broughton, North Wales. This role is pivotal within the aerospace industry, involving close collaboration with regulating authorities and supporting the Office of Airworthiness in meeting compliance requirements for aircraft design and safety management. 12 month initial contract Hybrid working, 2/3 days a week onsite Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold the sole British nationality and be eligible to obtain full SC Clearance. Inside IR35, rates are open to negotiation.Key Responsibilities: For aircraft design changes and repairs: Establish and maintain Certification Compliance plans Advise on the applicable military and civil airworthiness requirements Produce and support in type certificate change or repair classification (Major/Minor), compliance demonstration, and presentation at customer Local Technical Committees (LTC) and Configuration Control Boards (CCB) Produce and manage certification and compliance reports, including the tracking of compliance documents and coordination with certification verification engineers and subject matter experts For design safety management: Manage and maintain the Safety Management System (SMS) element of the Design Management System (DMS) Maintain the Design Organisation Risk Register and administer Risk Register reviews to record, assess, and mitigate design-related hazar…
