Security Clearance Requirements
Due to the nature of this role, full Security Clearance (SC) is required before starting on site. You must also meet BPSS requirements for an airport pass.

- Hold, or be willing and eligible to obtain, SC
- Be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship
- Have lived and worked in the UK continuously for the past 5 years

This is a key role within the engineering team, supporting the structural maintenance and modification of aircraft.
Where You\’ll Make an Impact
As a skilled Aircraft Structures Technician / Sheet Metal Worker, you\’ll carry out structural modifications and maintenance in line with approved drawings and data – ensuring full accountability for the technical integrity of all work.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Modifications & Maintenance
Complete tasks assigned by the Lead Technician or B1 Engineer, with precision and quality. - Technical Reporting & Safety
Provide regular progress updates, flag issues that impact the work plan, and propose solutions where needed. Report any unsafe conditions through the correct channels. - Structural Work
Remove major structural components, install complex assemblies, and work to tight tolerances using sealants, bonding techniques, and approved fasteners. - Standards & Compliance
Interpret manuals, drawings, and regulatory documents accurately. Maintain high standards of tool control, safety, and cleanliness at all times.
The Essentials You\’ll Need
- Qualifications & Eligibility: Completed an engineering apprenticeship (ideally in Aeronautical Engineering or a military equivalent). You must be eligible to live and work in the UK and pass UK security vetting.
- Experience & Expertise: A minimum of 2 years\’ hands-on experience in live aircraft sheet metal or structural work. Experience in aircraft production and modifications is highly desirable. Strong airframe knowledge is a must.
- Skills & Attributes: Excellent hand skills, strong attention to detail, a dependable and adaptable mindset. Solid communication skills and a collaborative approach are essential.
