Our client, a leading organisation in the aerospace industry, is currently seeking an experienced and proactive Lead Quality Supervisor to join their team. This permanent role will oversee day-to-day quality assurance and inspection activities, ensuring compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems. The role supports the manufacture of advanced composite components and assemblies for the aerospace market.

Quality System Maintenance & Compliance

  • Ensure day-to-day compliance with ISO9001 and AS9100 Quality Management System requirements
  • Maintain quality procedures, work instructions, inspection records, and supporting documentation
  • Promote continuous improvement in quality processes and shop-floor practices

Inspection & Measurement

  • Carry out hands-on dimensional inspection of composite components and assemblies throughout manufacture
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications
  • Produce accurate inspection reports, measurement records, and quality documentation
  • Define, maintain, and apply inspection plans and acceptance criteria for manufactured components
  • Operate a range of inspection and metrology equipment, including: Verniers and micrometers, Height gauges and surface tables, Go/No-Go gauges, Digital measuring systems, 3D scanning equipment and associated software
  • Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and product validation activities

Product Transfer & Cross-Site Quality

  • Inspect and verify products transferring from the UK to Turkish production
  • Ensure dimensional conformity and quality standards are met before transfer
  • Support inspection and validation of products received from Turkey before delivery
  • Ensure consistent application of acceptance criteria across UK and Turkish operations
  • Support quality alignment between sites through shared inspection standards and practices
  • Lead or support root cause analysis activities using structured quality tools
  • Identify recurring quality issues and support improvement initiatives

Proven experience in a Quality Supervisor, Senior Inspector, or Quality Engineer role within aerospace, advanced composites, or high-performance manufacturing is required. Experience inspecting composite components and assemblies is highly desirable. Knowledge of aircraft interior manufacturing or aerospace composite processes is essential. Strong experience maintaining and working within ISO9001 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems in an aerospace manufacturing environment is required. Strong practical inspection and metrology experience is necessary. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, composite specifications, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) is important. Experience using precision measuring equipment and inspection software is expected. Experience with 3D scanning, CMM inspection, or advanced metrology systems would be advantageous. Strong experience in non-conformance management, root cause analysis, and CAPA processes is essential. Competent in Microsoft Office and quality management documentation systems.
