We are seeking a highly experienced all round Aluminium Boatbuilder for a short term contract supporting a bespoke marine build project. This is a hands on role covering fabrication, welding, assembly, and outfitting of aluminium vessels.

Key Responsibilities

  • MIG/TIG welding of marine-grade aluminium
  • Fabrication including cutting, forming, and bending plate
  • Interpreting and working from technical drawings
  • Hull build and structural assembly of aluminium vessels
  • Installation and integration of marine systems
  • Basic electrical work
  • Outfitting and finishing
  • Working to marine standards and compliance requirements
  • Problem solving on bespoke/custom aluminium builds

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Proven, hands on experience in aluminium boatbuilding (not just general fabrication or welding)
  • Strong MIG/TIG welding capability on aluminium
  • Experience working on aluminium hull construction and vessel structures
  • Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings

Desirable:

  • Experience integrating marine systems
  • Basic electrical awareness

General:

  • Solid workshop skills (measuring, tooling, material handling)
  • High attention to detail and quality

Hours: 40 standard (typically ~50 with overtime)
