Our client, a leading organisation in the aerospace industry, is currently seeking a Production Operative to join their team in Farnborough. The role involves working within one of the Esterline Advanced Sensors production cells, focusing on the design and manufacture of temperature, speed, and pressure sensors for gas turbine and airframe applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture of new or existing products
- Assist with problem solving for new products prior to production
- Provide support for New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Identify foolproof tooling requirements
- Assist in the training of operators
- Ensure documentation is correct and legible
- Apply problem-solving techniques such as PDCA, cause and effect, and the 5 'whys'
- Influence quality improvements through technical innovation
- Liaise effectively with the Engineering department
Job Requirements:
- Formal engineering qualification or relevant experience
- Experience in welding, soldering, or brazing
- Proficiency in general assembly
- Knowledge of new product introduction processes
- Experience in training personnel
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- High level of accuracy and quality in work
