Join a fast-growing aerospace team developing next-generation UAV powertrain systems. This is your chance to shape propulsion architecture from concept through flight test, working on cutting-edge platforms at the forefront of autonomy and defence technology.

The Role

  • Lead the design and integration of engines, cooling, vibration isolation, exhaust and power transmission systems.
  • Turn concepts into detailed CAD designs and production-ready assemblies.
  • Define powertrain requirements and interfaces across airframe, electrical, fuel and control systems.
  • Support ground and flight-test campaigns to validate performance.
  • Collaborate closely with avionics, airframe and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Provide hands-on engineering support to in-service fleets.

What You'll Bring

  • Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years' experience in propulsion/powertrain or engine integration.
  • Strong mechanical design expertise, especially rotating/reciprocating machinery.
  • Experience with internal combustion piston engines (essential).
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks ideal) and PDM systems.
  • Analytical skills (FEA, vibration, CFD/thermal experience beneficial).
  • Ability to take technical ownership and work across multiple disciplines.
  • Eligible to work in the UK and able to undergo security vetting.
