Overview

We are recruiting an experienced HGV Class 1 ADR Driver for a Permanent role based in Poole. The position involves transporting goods safely between multiple Sunseeker sites, including Poole, Tower Park, and Portland. This role is ideal for a reliable, safety-focused driver with strong ADR experience and excellent route awareness within Dorset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Class 1 HGV in accordance with company policies and UK driving regulations.
  • Transport ADR-classified materials between sites in Poole, Tower Park, and Portland.
  • Complete daily inspection checks and ensure the vehicle is roadworthy at all times.
  • Load and unload materials following ADR safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records, delivery notes, and tachograph data.
  • Follow site procedures for arrival, loading, unloading, and communication.
  • Ensure full compliance with ADR regulations, including correct handling, securing, and documentation of hazardous goods.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.
  • Report any vehicle issues, delays, or incidents promptly to the transport team.

Requirements

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
  • ADR certification (including relevant classes for materials handled)
  • Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Strong awareness of safe driving practices and ADR compliance
  • Experience transporting hazardous goods (preferred)
  • Good communication skills and a professional attitude
  • Reliability and punctuality essential
