An elite Formula 1 team is looking for an experienced NDT Team Leader to oversee and drive inspection activities across critical race and support operations. In this high-performance environment, your leadership and technical skills will directly impact performance and reliability at the highest level of motorsport.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the NDT team, ensuring inspections are performed to the highest safety and quality standards
- Identify and apply the correct NDT techniques (UT, PT, MP, ET, RT, CT, AE) for both new and in-service components
- Ensure timely, accurate delivery of inspected parts to race, support, and project teams
- Maintain precise records, uphold departmental inspection standards, and manage sampling rates
- Communicate effectively with engineers on non-conformities or inspection findings
- Ensure all lab equipment is well maintained and fully operational
- Collaborate with operations to ensure seamless scheduling and workflow
- Support the recruitment, development, and training of team members to meet technical and performance expectations
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the department
About You:
- Strong engineering background with significant hands-on NDT experience in a fast-paced, high-standards environment
- PCN or EN4179 Level 2 or 3 in multiple methods (ideally UT, PT, and MP at minimum)
- Proven experience managing or mentoring a team
- High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a calm, focused approach under pressure
- Collaborative, performance-driven mindset, ideally with experience in motorsport or aerospace
