This role can be considered Outside IR35. Onsite Our client in in the automotive industry, is currently seeking a skilled Maintenance/Facilities Technician with a background in Electrical Engineering to join their team on a contractual basis. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine servicing and maintenance of equipment within the Coventry Test Facilities Manage day-to-day workload in cooperation with the responsible Manager Collaborate with and select suppliers, raising Purchase Orders as required Short and medium-term planning for projects, including investigations and upgrades Make day-to-day decisions regarding workload and priorities Conduct non-routine fault and repair finding in case of breakdowns Support continuous improvement projects and upgrade activities Maintain schedules, records, and reports for legal and audit compliance Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders as required Job Requirements: Experience in electrical engineering within an engineering/automotive environment Working knowledge of equipment in engineering workshops and plant rooms (e.g., machine tools, lifting equipment, air handling units, chillers, motors, fans, pumps, compressors) Experience in plant and general maintenance tasks Understanding of our client’s culture and way of working Pro-active, flexible, and quality-minded Strong communication skills at all levels Ability to work under pressure and willingness to do overtime if required Reliable and demonstrates clear ownership of tasks If you are an experienced Facilities Technician looking for a new challenge in the automotive sector, we would love to hear from you.
