Following a recent ramp-up, we are looking for 11 Mechanical Repairs Technicians to join our aerospace client in Titchfield. With a move to a brand-new purpose-built facility underway, this is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and highly skilled team. These are long-term PAYE contracts running until December 2026, with strong potential for extension.
What You'll Do
- Test, diagnose and validate mechanical, electrical and pump units
- Strip and rebuild components to approved aerospace standards
- Operate test rigs and diagnostic equipment
- Record accurate test data (manual and electronic)
- Support continuous improvement activities
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians
- Solve complex technical faults with a hands-on approach
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience in testing and fault diagnosis
- Strong mechanical and electrical testing skills
- Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret technical data
- Practical experience with component adjustment or fine machining
Desirable:
- Aerospace, MOD or high-integrity repairs experience
- Experience with hydraulic or rotating equipment
- Familiarity with motors, pumps, generators or electro-mechanical units
Qualifications:
- BTEC Level 2/3 in Engineering (or equivalent)
- City & Guilds / National Certificate beneficial
Hours & Benefits
- 37 hours/week Mon-Thu: 07:30-16:15 Fri: 07:30-11:30
- 33 days' paid annual leave (or holiday pay rolled into rate)
- Must be eligible to live and work in the UK (ITAR restrictions)
PAYE Contract Rates
- Current Rates Core Days: £18.09ph
- After 12 weeks increases to £18.65ph
- With holiday pay included: £20.72-£21.35ph
- NEW Annual Increase - Effective Monday 2nd March £18.72 PAYE (or £21.44 including holiday)
- After 12 weeks increases to: £19.29 PAYE (or £22.09 including holiday)
- Overtime After 37 hours and Saturdays: x1.5
- Sundays and bank holidays: x2
