Our client, a prominent player in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a Quality Engineer for a contract role. This position will be integral to the implementation and maintenance of the Quality and Delivery Clinic (QDAC) activities within the UK operation of the joint venture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Warranty / Customer Returns Process
  • Support Investigation & Fault Finding
  • Material Review Board (MRB)
  • CAPA Management (8D Elephant Chart)
  • Customer Escape Management
  • Manage Quality Costs
  • Support QCPC / Turn backs
  • Support Offline Product
  • Metrics & Monthly Reporting for QDAC
  • Conduct Internal Audits i.a.w. plan

Job Requirements:

  • Experience working within the scope of key responsibilities listed above
  • Basic awareness of Quality Management Systems such as AS9100, IATF16949, ISO17025 etc.
  • Proficient in product-related investigative and problem-solving environments
  • Competent in using common IT software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and SharePoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience in negotiating and having difficult conversations

Desirable Experience / Qualifications:

  • Significant experience or qualification in AS9100 Aerospace Quality Management System
  • Experience in mechanical, electronics, and software engineering
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
  • Previous management or team leadership experience
  • Experience working with Japanese businesses
  • Degree (or equivalent) and significant relevant experience, or extensive experience in lieu of a degree
  • Knowledge of Core Quality tools including PPAP, APQP, Control Plan, FMEA, SPC, 8D and MSA
