Electronics Prototype Technician

Are you an experienced electronics professional with strong hands-on prototyping skills? Do you enjoy working closely with engineers to bring cutting-edge designs to life? We are looking for a talented Electronics Prototype Technician to join our Product Development and Manufacturing team.
About the Role
This is a full-time, office-based position within our busy R&D and product development environment. You will play a key part in building, assembling, and troubleshooting advanced electronic prototypes-particularly in RF and PCB technology.
Key Responsibilities
- PCB and general electronics assembly to IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards
- Hand soldering of fine-pitch SMD components (including 0603 and 0402)
- PCB rework and fault-finding
- Building complex prototypes from schematics and engineering drawings with minimal supervision
- Maintaining accurate build records and documentation using standard office IT tools
- Mechanical assembly and detailed wiring (advantageous)
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Flexible and confident managing multiple tasks in a busy R&D lab
- Experienced-minimum 3 years in an electronics lab or assembly environment
- Comfortable working collaboratively with engineers as part of a project team
- Positive, proactive, and keen to learn new skills
- Able to contribute to maintaining a safe, organised, and efficient laboratory environment
