Our client, a global leader in aerospace fuel systems, is seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter based in Wimborne, Dorset. The organisation is renowned for its fully integrated solutions for both fixed and rotary-wing aircraft, specialising in cutting-edge air-to-air refuelling systems and a variety of advanced technologies.
Job Requirements:
- Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
- Relevant experience within the skill group.
- PCB repair and soldering experience is beneficial.
- Experience in fault finding and electrical repairs.
- A wide skill base within an MRO environment is useful.
- Ability to understand and apply lean manufacturing processes.
- Capability to attain approved operator stamp with scope approval relevant to the job role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strip, survey, and rebuild electrical LRUs (Black boxes) in accordance with agreed engineering methods and processes.
- Perform PCB component-level repairs.
- Complete surveys and repairs to established practices.
- Ensure compliance with quality procedures by adhering to defined processes and procedures.
- Carry out tasks autonomously without supervision.
- Collaborate with the team to identify and drive productivity and performance improvements.
- Contribute to the continuous development of safety, health, and environment requirements.
Further Responsibilities:
- Actively support and progress personal development needs to ensure task flexibility.
- Participate in start-of-shift meetings to understand team targets and key issues.
- Escalate issues to the Value Stream Manager in a timely manner.
Due to the nature of this role, the successful applicant will be in contact with US ITAR-controlled technology, goods and information. An additional screening process may be required as part of the recruitment process.
