Design Engineer (Aerospace Fuel Systems)6-Month PAYE Contract
Duration: 6 Months The Opportunity We are currently seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join a leading aerospace engineering organisation on an initial 6-month PAYE contract .
This role will focus on the design and detailing of aerospace fuel system products, ensuring designs meet performance, manufacturability and assembly requirements while complying with aerospace and industry standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong CAD experience and a background in complex mechanical or aerospace product design to work within a global engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities Produce detailed engineering designs using CAD platforms including Creo and Micro Station .
Create and modify 3D models and engineering drawings for new and existing products.
Review and perform quality checks on engineering drawings produced by both local and global teams.
Conduct Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) assessments.
Lead sustaining engineering activities and development projects independently.
Deliver engineering documentation to agreed quality, cost and time requirements.
Required Experience Proven experience in mechanical design engineering within aerospace, defence or a similarly regulated industry.
Knowledge of GD&T, dimensioning standards, tolerance analysis and tolerance stack-up calculations.
Good understanding of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) principles.
