Amplify, a leading precision engineering business in Poole, is looking for a CNC Miller/Turner (Mazak) to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on machine shop role where quality matters, the work stays varied, and you will be trusted to run your own jobs from set-up through to inspection.

Shift pattern (rotating):

  • Early Shift (2 weeks): Mon-Thurs 6:00am-2:15pm, Fri 6:00am-12:00pm
  • Late Shift (2 weeks): Mon-Thurs 2:15pm-10:15pm, Fri 12:00pm-7:30pm

What you will be doing:

  • Read and work from engineering drawings to produce components to spec
  • Select the right tooling and workholding for each job
  • Set machines using set-up sheets, and feedback any improvements or corrections needed
  • Prove out programs (both proven and unproven) and support continuous improvement
  • Manufacture parts to tight tolerances and high-quality standards
  • Complete your own initial inspections and record quality documentation, including OEE data
  • Maintain production targets and flag issues early to keep work flowing
  • Look after tooling and gauges to a high standard
  • Work closely with Production Engineers to maximise productivity and reduce downtime
  • Follow Lean ways of working and maintain safe, clean, efficient work areas
  • Adhere to SHEF requirements at all times
