Our client, a globally recognised luxury automotive manufacturer, is seeking an Automotive Electrical Integration Engineer to join their Electrical Engineering division in Crewe. This contract role sits within the Test & Build Support function and plays a key part in the development of next-generation electrified vehicles. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of automotive innovation, supporting prototype, pre-series, and series production phases while ensuring high-quality integration of electrical and electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Integration Testing
- Plan, lead, and execute integration test plans for Simulator, Prototype, Pre-Series, and Series Production vehicles.
- Produce test documentation including test plans, reports, and sign-off material.
- Ensure all testing and vehicle movements comply with security and safety standards.
- Create and process problem-solving tickets (KPM, IVA, iCAPTURE).
- Provide responsive technical support to Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and other business areas.
- Diagnose electrical system issues, support rectification work, and assist with electrical/electronic updates.
- Own integration testing KPIs, planning workbooks, and scheduling.
- Act as the main point of contact for integration planning activities.
- Lead planning meetings and escalate issues when required.
- Support CP-Tool database management, LabCar/Rig build, simulation activities, and Electrical Engineering workshop duties.
- Assist with fleet planning and support the Functional Manager when required.
- Promote continuous improvement and share technical learnings across the organisation.
Skills & Experience Required
- Background in Automotive Electrical Systems and electrical/electronic integration.
- Experience in Verification, Validation, and Testing (VVT) processes.
- Proficient with automotive diagnostic tools, test equipment, and reporting systems.
- Strong planning, organisation, and communication skills.
- Experience in problem-solving methodologies and continuous improvement.
- Ability to quickly learn and operate specialist engineering equipment.
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electronics, or similar.
