An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and motivated Assistant Engineering Group Leader to join a leading organisation at the forefront of engineering innovation. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical capabilities and leadership ambition, ready to take the next step in their career by guiding a dynamic team in the design and analysis of advanced mechanical systems.

The Role: In this position, you will support the Engineering Group Leader by overseeing a small Design & Analysis team. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of engineering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The role involves overseeing product development, qualification, and support throughout the product life cycle, with a particular focus on landing gear systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a small team of engineers to meet project milestones and technical deliverables
  • Manage design and analysis tasks for complex mechanical systems
  • Drive quality, cost, and delivery targets in line with programme expectations
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective project execution
  • Provide technical direction and support to ensure ongoing team development
