Structural Aircraft Technician
Location: Isle of Wight - Easily commutable via Portsmouth Hovercraft to Ryde (approx. 40 mins + 1 bus) or Southampton Red Funnel to Cowes (approx. 90 mins + 2 buses)
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: 40 hours per week | Flexible working available
We are seeking a skilled Structural Aircraft Technician to join our team, specialising in the Production Line Fitting, repair, overhaul, and upgrade of aircraft from detail stages through to final installation and release to the flight shed. You will work to specific instructions and deadlines, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out production line fitting, installations, overhauls, and upgrades of aircraft.
- Support the Assembly Supervisor in identifying areas for build process improvements.
- Follow production schedules to meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure quality standards are maintained in compliance with Company Quality Assurance Procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and flight-compliant workstation and working environment.
- Complete all relevant audit and quality documentation accurately.
- Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams to introduce new products and processes into full manufacture.
- Maintain strict tool control standards.
- Strong background in aircraft fitting, installation, and structural repair.
- Excellent understanding of engineering drawings and specifications.
