We are seeking a proactive and hands on Quality Manager to join our on-site team at a specialist manufacturing facility producing complex composite and metallic assemblies.
You\’ll receive direct mentorship and play a critical role in ensuring a smooth leadership transition – while driving continuous improvement across the site.
What You\’ll Do
- Support site Manufacturing Process Managers in ensuring product quality and process compliance.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives to meet strategic goals.
- Coach, develop, and identify training for team members; manage skills matrices and performance feedback.
- Monitor and improve KPIs for scrap, pre-release, concessions, and quality escapes.
- Attend CCB and CAR meetings to ensure compliance with internal BMS and external regulatory standards.
- Manage and maintain department records (e.g., time and attendance, archive processes).
- Support the Quality Manager in oversight of QCE personnel and daily quality operations.
- Produce monthly reports for Senior Management Reviews.
- Ensure full site compliance with Part 21G and Part 145 requirements.
- Regularly review and update Quality Management System (BMS) policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Promote health, safety, and environmental standards across the function.
What We\’re Looking For
- Proven experience in aerospace manufacturing quality, preferably with composites and metallics.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of EASA Part 21G and Part 145.
- Confident leadership skills with the ability to mentor and influence at all levels.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Practical understanding of quality systems, continuous improvement, and KPI development.
