Our client, a leading infrastructure contractor within the water sector, is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to support a major clean water pipeline project in Romsey, Southampton. This contract role offers the opportunity to lead the commercial function on a high-profile AMP programme with long-term project activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the commercial function across the clean water pipeline project
- Manage NEC Option C contract administration and compliance
- Oversee cost-value reconciliations, forecasting and commercial reporting
- Manage target costs, compensation events and change control processes
- Identify, assess and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities
- Work closely with project teams, supply chain partners and key stakeholders
- Provide commercial leadership to support the successful delivery of the project
Job Requirements:
- Experience as a Commercial Manager within water, utilities, civil engineering or major infrastructure projects
- Strong quantity surveying experience and commercial management expertise
- Comprehensive knowledge of NEC contracts, particularly NEC Option C
- Experience managing target cost contracts, cost-value reconciliations and project forecasting
- Understanding of compensation events, change control and commercial risk management
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills
- Water, utilities or pipeline project experience would be highly advantageous
