Our client is seeking a Civil Supervisor to support water infrastructure projects on a contract basis. The role will involve overseeing site operations, coordinating subcontractors and maintaining high standards of safety, health, environmental and quality compliance throughout project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and managing day-to-day civil construction activities on site
- Managing subcontractors to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards
- Monitoring compliance with site safety, health, environmental and quality requirements
- Ensuring adherence to established procedures and project guidance
- Placing orders and raising requisitions as required
- Maintaining accurate site diaries, records and project documentation
- Supporting effective communication between site teams, subcontractors and project management
Job Requirements:
- Experience in civil construction supervision, ideally within the water or utilities sector
- Current SMSTS certification
- Valid CSCS Gold Card or Black Card
- Strong understanding of site management and subcontractor coordination
- Knowledge of SHEQ requirements and construction compliance procedures
- Ability to manage orders, requisitions and site documentation accurately
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced site environment
