BAE Systems is seeking contract NC and CMM Programmers to join the team at their Samlesbury or Warton sites. This role focuses on the Military, Air & Information (MAI) sector, specifically within the Air business unit. This position is ideal for professionals looking for a short-term contract with the potential for permanent employment in a challenging and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting NC programming for various parts of the Typhoon and F35 aircraft, including small detail parts.
- Performing sheet metal trimming and metal scribing tasks.
- Providing support to the production line by occasionally visiting the shop floor to oversee the implementation of NC programs.
- Working on Typhoon detail parts and new Typhoon parts.
- Utilising CATIA V5 for NC programming and/or Camio for CMM programming.
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in CNC programming.
- Experience with CATIA V5 and/or Camio for programming tasks.
- Familiarity with Catia V4 would be advantageous.
- Understanding of Vericut software is a plus.
