Our client, a leading entity in the Aerospace sector, is currently seeking an Engineering Lecturer to join our team on a contract basis. The role involves delivering high-quality teaching and mentoring to apprentices in Mechanical, Electrical, and Aero and Aviation Engineering. This position requires a confident and imaginative individual who can inspire apprentices through creative lesson plans that meet world-class standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach on Advanced Manufacturing and Aerospace programmes, aligning with Apprenticeship standards and capitalising on innovative teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the planning, monitoring, and evaluation of the curriculum to promote a positive learning culture.
  • Prepare and mark assessments, providing meaningful feedback to aid apprentices' development.
  • Embed the delivery of maths and English within the curriculum.
  • Produce comprehensive reports on apprentice progress, ensuring proactive data monitoring and analysis.
  • Participate in apprentice interviews, enrolment, induction, open days, and enrichment activities.
  • Develop an inclusive blended learning approach using CANVAS as a platform to enrich curriculum delivery.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of specialist areas through continuous professional development (CPD).
  • Maintain and develop resources for teaching, including Schemes of Work and Lesson Plans.
  • Contribute to the high-quality learning experience from beginning to end.
  • Participate in the quality assurance process aligned with awarding body requirements.
  • Ensure the safeguarding of apprentices and the wider team.
Job Requirements:
  • A teaching qualification is mandatory, paired with experience in developing blended learning resources and delivery on a virtual learning environment (VLE) platform.
  • Experience delivering on Aero and Aviation or Advanced Manufacturing Engineering programmes up to Level 4.
  • Ability to work as part of a team to develop and share innovative teaching resources.
  • Recent experience in teaching and mentoring.
