Our client BAE Systems, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a proficient General Engineer with experience in warship aviation services. This contract role, situated in Scotstoun, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the Naval Ships business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce layout drawings in 2D CAD of aviation compartments for stakeholder review and detailed design integration.
- Support design reviews and zonal reviews, providing maturity evidence.
- Update technical equipment specifications for aviation systems and coordinate with suppliers to meet agreed specifications.
- Maintain and update Windchill PLM with part, system, occurrence, and compartment data to ensure accurate design presentation.
- Coordinate with systems engineers and detail designers both internally and with external partners on the integration of aviation systems.
Job Requirements:
- Experienced BAE-Outfit engineer, particularly in naval and/or commercial ship outfit systems.
- Proficiency in CAD software like AutoCAD or FORAN.
- Strong understanding of system and spatial integration issues.
- Ability to produce technical reports and documentation.
- Knowledge and experience in compartment design and aviation systems within a warship context.
