Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Planning & Delivery
- Support the development and maintenance of procurement plans aligned with programme schedules and budget requirements.
- Assist with the implementation of sourcing strategies to support programme delivery.
- Coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely supply of goods and services.
- Source ad hoc requirements and manage purchase requisitions.
- Supplier & Contract Management
- Support supplier identification, prequalification and evaluation activities.
- Coordinate supplier onboarding processes, including confidentiality agreements and commercial terms.
- Prepare supplier performance data and support supplier development initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supply, innovation and value creation.
- Assist with the development and monitoring of supplier performance measures.
- Support contract award processes and contract administration activities.
- Coordinate contract correspondence, notices and claims documentation where required.
- Assist with the resolution of invoice and purchase order queries.
- Cost & Performance Improvement
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and value improvement across procurement activities.
- Support tracking and reporting of cost-saving initiatives against programme targets.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop effective working relationships across multiple business functions.
- Coordinate communication between project teams, suppliers and stakeholders.
- Escalate emerging risks and issues in a timely manner to support programme delivery.
- Reporting & Governance
- Maintain accurate procurement and contract records.
- Produce regular reports on procurement performance, supplier activity and programme progress.
- Support compliance with organisational policies, legal requirements and industry standards.
About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have
- Experience within Contracts & Procurement, preferably within motorsport, automotive, engineering, manufacturing or a similar technical environment.
- Basic understanding of contract law, procurement principles and commercial negotiation techniques.
- Exposure to both pre-contract and post-contract activities.
- Degree-level qualification in a technical, engineering or commercial discipline.
- CIPS qualification or working towards membership would be advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
- Strong analytical, reporting and data management capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Power Point and Word.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
